especially if you have just moved into the village, or even if you have been living here for some time, we hope that you will find the information on this website useful. It comes to you with the compliments of Milton Ernest Parish Council and All Saints’ Church, Milton Ernest.
We hope that much of the information will be of interest and use to you. We have tried to list all the village societies, clubs and organizations, and to give some information on Local Government Services and emergency services of various kinds.
The Church continues today, as it has for many centuries to witness to the risen Christ. All Saints’ in Milton Ernest is part of the Benefice with Pavenham and Thurleigh churches. At whatever stage in your life, or from whatever denomination, you are welcome to belong to the life of the Church in Milton Ernest. Even if you are not a regular churchgoer, the Vicar and Church are available to all in the village. The Church Building should be open during the day so please do visit it. (If you find it closed during the day please let us know and we’ll open it.) Times of services are listed in the porch, on the weekly notice-sheet given out at Sunday services, in the “Villager” magazine, and kept up-to-date on the Church (Benefice) website.
The Villager is the Church and Community Magazine for Milton Ernest, Thurleigh and Pavenham and contains details of future events and activities, plus news and views from the villages, reports and local business advertising. It is issued ten times each year (July/August and December/January being combined issues) and is delivered to subscribers – but Milton Ernest residents don’t have to subscribe as the Church have paid for a free copy of each issue for each household in Milton Ernest over the last few years, and this is set to continue. If you live in Milton Ernest and have missed out on your free copies of the magazine then please talk to the Vicar or a Churchwarden.
