The Chairman is elected at the Annual Council meeting by members of the Council and serves for twelve months. The Chairman is the public face of the Parish Council and represents the counciI at official events. A key responsibility is to manage the Parish Council meeting by involving all councillors in discussion, ensuring that they keep to the point and keeping discussions moving so that the meeting is not too long.

The Chairman has a casting vote. His/her first vote is a personal vote as a member of the council but if there is a tied vote then the Chairman can have a second, casting vote. To see who are the current councillors just click to the next page.
